This is an adapter to fit standard UK & European IBC Containers which normally have a 2" BORE, which is a 60mm Buttress/Coarse Thread (measured thread edge to thread edge).

It converts the buttress IBC thread to a 13 mm (1/2") Snap-On tap connector with an in-line Water Filter and On/Off BALL VALVE. It comes complete with a female snap-on hose connector.

The total length of this item from the front of the cap to the end of the hose connector is approximately 220 mm.

The filter designed to trap foreign particles which may be in your tank and to reduce clogging of other components after the valve. The filter can be removed by unscrewing the fitting at the end farthest away from the IBC/Tank and removing the rubber sealing ring at the female threaded end of the filter. If you are able to tilt the adapter, the filter will "fall out". If not you will need to pull the filter out with long nose pliers but be careful not to damage the filter mesh. The 80 mesh screen filter can be easily cleaned by swilling under a tap

The BALL VALVE is 4 Bar pressure rated and they have a very smooth and easy On/Off action.

The Snap On fitting is compatible with most fittings on the market including Hoselock.

WILL IT FIT MY TANK?

These adapters will fit most standard UK and European IBC containers where the buttress thread is a coarse S60X6 thread. An S60X6 Buttress thread measures 60 mm across from thread edge to thread edge and has a 6 mm pitch (distance between the threads).

If your tank buttress is not an S60X6 (about 20% are not) you can purchase a Buttress Thread Converter which will convert the thread to the S60X6 you will require.
