This is a HEAVY DUTY adapter to fit standard UK & European IBC Containers (60mm coarse thread - more details on fitment are below).

It converts the buttress IBC thread (S60X6) to an ANGLED COMPRESSION Fitting which are normally fitted to blue polyethylene tubing for mains water services (MDPE / Alkathene), but this will fit any pipe where the pipe OD (Outer Diameter) corresponds to the fitting size.

Please note that the size refers to the EXTERNAL Diameter of the pipe and the INTERNAL Diameter of the fitting. This is different to flexible hose pipe where it is the INTERNAL measurement of the pipe that is used because it fits over the fitting rather than slotting into it.

It is made from Glass Reinforced Polypropylene, with an internal Buna N (Nitrile Rubber) seal, and a Buna N (Nitrile Rubber)Seal where the IBC outlet connects to the Adapter.

WILL IT FIT MY TANK?

These adapters will fit most standard UK and European IBC containers where the buttress thread is a coarse S60X6 thread. An S60X6 Buttress thread measures 60 mm across from thread edge to thread edge and has a 6 mm pitch (distance between the threads).

If your tank buttress is not an S60X6 (about 20% are not) you can purchase a Buttress Thread Converter which will convert the thread to the S60X6 you will require.
